Two Men Talking
Blood Type: RAGU is a hilarious and poignant exploration of the
Sicilian immigrant experience based on the life of writer/performer
Frank Ingrasciotta. This one-man show features more than 20
characters, who live, love and laugh as they struggle to thrive in a
new culture, while nurturing the traditions of the old. It’s not drama
. . . it’s just family! And we all have one.
The audience shouts out a title of a musical that has never been performed
before. Accompanied by a full band, the first title that the group hears
becomes the title and theme for that evening’s completely improvised 60
minute musical that
Baby Wants Candy creates on the spot.
BWC has featured performers Stephnie Weir and Nicole Parker (MadTV),
Rachel Dratch and Seth Meyers (SNL), Jack McBrayer (30 Rock), Garry
Tallent (Bruce Springsteen and the E St Band), Mark Pender (Max Weinberg
7) to name a few.
Two Men Talking is a live unscripted performance in which two
men weave their life stories into a production that captivates
audiences. Their story takes place between South Africa and New
York City touching on issues of personal identity,
HIV/AIDS, being Jewish in South Africa, and the creation of a
lifetime friendship.
“Silence kills the spirit; storytelling opens the world. What Two Men Talking
reveals is the tremendous importance of stories.”
London Times,
"It is that kind of understanding — and forgiveness — that gives
“Blood Type: Ragu” its lasting, rewarding flavor."
